What is going on in our community
strik9 writes "I am at a loss for words after this last week of events. As you may or may not know, PCNuke has closed down and a few other sites are ready to follow. How can a community survive when there is nothing but greed, backstabbing and leachers by the bucket full in our community. Hammer at http://max.pcnuke.com has had enough and his doors were closed for good because his software bas being added to others subscription areas. Why would someone take a paid set of code and sell its access on their own site ? It makes me sick. The same thing has happened to dadanuke.org forgotz has seen his hard work in others subscribers section.

Is it right for folks to profit off of others hard work ? Isnt that stealing ? I would and shouldname some sites that have been caught doing just that but i wont. If you can steal someones paid scripts and re-sell them on your site with out caring then you are a very sad example of what this community represents. We cannot blame you for not having any common sense or having any original ideas of your own. That just makes you special and im sure using any sharp objects would endanger you.

Thanks for ruining a decent mans site with your idiotic lazy attitude. "

Then there are those who take other people's free work and sell it or tamper with it and claim it as thier own, main reason why you don't see much being released by me aside from the patches.

You should probably ask hammer why he added our stuff to his subscription area? or the fact that he had commercial themes in there too from Destine Designs , or the fact that he used telli's commercial scripts in his paid for distros...

You can read some of the comments already started over at ravens site ...
http://ravenphpscripts.com/modules.php?name=News&file=article&sid=2845

Raven backed us up 110% hammers moderators were doing all the trouble, we have since removed the files but it was a DEFINITELY defiance of "don't do as i do, do as i say" it was okay for him to have our paid for item in his area ? but he got all shirty when we added his !

what is really sad is that people don't think before trying to stir things up, make sure you have all your evidence and facts before posting "hear say evidence" or is this yet again "guilty until proven other wise"

I agree that it is morally wrong to use other peoples modules/blocks... but there are people out there that just don't care and the GPL helps them all the way !

We have removed his files now, but he has his silly immature forum moderators to thank for stering it all up and causing more hassle than what it should have been. I personally think hammer just wanted an easy way out of the community to be honest !
