Nuke Resources - NextGEN Nuke is almost here.

NeXTGENuke is about to be released.

So what makes it stand out of the rest of the Nuke Packs?

Since the moment modified nukes became fashion I tested many of them, most of them had an overkill of options/modules/blocks. To state it simple, it took you ages to sort out the relevant stuff from the useless... I mean making the modules apprear proper, which blocks to use what to activate and what not, the list goes on and to execute these things as an expirienced nuker may take you a few hours. I did not enjoy that, personally I prefer to work on the content of the site, because that is what people visit you for in the first place, so that is where time has to be spent on.

So I made a nuke which does that. Let you work on the relevant stuff.

What modules is NGN using?

-CNB Your Account 4.4.1

What blocks is NGN using?

-Custom userlogin
-Custom admin login
-Streaming Audio block with 12 pre-set stations (Who needs a mp3 player block with 3 songs?)

Nice everything custom what is that supposed to mean?

To give you a little idea, it will not look like regular Nuke.
I made blocks that have the most used functions and display of information right at your finger tips, for example if you login, the login block changes into a account information block, the display of useless statistics and so on I avoided so the blocks have a decent size, while having all options available.

Other features:

-WYSIWYG editor on each text field exept the forum uses BBcode
-Admin has extra options in WYSIWYG editors
-Respect Levels in the forums

What is radical theming?

So to say if you change your theme, every image in Nuke will change with it, this includes Block titles, menu graphics, all the way to images displayed in your account. As a result Nuke will look better then you can imagine, at the moment there is only 1 theme available, but as the pack becomes available more will be included.

What is at the base of this pack?

-Nuke 7.6

In the beginning of developing this nuke release I started out with Nuke 7.7, but after playing with it for a while it became quite clear that that release would probably have tons more issues then Chatserv could possibly fix with his pack on such short notice, new nuke releases need time to prove themselves, 7.6 already did and has proven to be a stable platform to create NGN from. This will avoid unnessecery updates that undoubtly will be needed to make 7.7 secure.

How about speed?

Speeeed, quite some meassures have been taken to improve the speed of this Nuke, for example dynamic module blocks have been avoided, a "hardcoded" menu is implemented, this menu is carefully structured so it will not need a great deal of changes, and if you decide to change the navigation, clear instrucs await you in the block itself.

Each page shows the ammount of queries needed to generate the page.

Main page queries needed for generation: 61 for guests up to 99 for a logged in admin & user, depending on how many posts and news are active.

So what more...?

-PSD source files for all graphics created in the pack, so easy creation of: new ranks, avatars, topics, rating images
-Preconfigured avatars, ranks, points system, topics
-240 Hi-quality Avatars

So what does this all mean?

You get a nuke pack that you can upload & import the sql file and work on the content of the site.
No more worries where to get that mod how to install it, change the modules to fit with the menu, get nice blocks, configure the forum, set the ranks, activate all proper modules, deactivate all useless modules and whatever more you need to do on a fresh Nuke. Basically you can teach your goldfish how to work with this.

Is it free?

No, considering the ammount of work that is already in the pack and the work that needs to be done to finish it it will be released as DONATION-WARE, this does not mean it will cost you a fortune, you choose whatever you are willing to donate for it, if that is 50 cents, then it's 50 cents, if you send over 100usd it's 100usd.

Why?

Because I wish to give proper support and updates without having to worry there are 10.000 questions waiting for me in my forum posted by people who don't even bother to read posts like this, so say it straight forward, I (edited)t serious people to run this pack, so I can mean something serious to them too. And only considering the ammount of custom graphics in this pack that come with .PSD's a small donation should not be an issue, considering that after install you are DONE configuring and can work on content.
