Archiving...?

I have a pretty simple (I think) request:

Everything about phpnuke rocks. It's only missing one thing: a better way to manage those articles that are submitted. I've been looking around for a hack or script or add-on or block or module or doo-hickey to be able to accomplish the following tasks multiple categorization for articles.

For example:

When I submit an article about Pamela Anderson, I'd like to be able to group this article under a main topics heading called "Hotties" but I'd also like to subcategorize this article under "Pamela" in the event that I want to create a separate section to display those "Pamela" articles only.

Does this make any sense? I'm sure it's possible, because I use a program called b2 that handles weblogging on another site and that also uses MySql and has a pretty sophisticated archiving/categorizing method (that I know nothing about because I'm a novice but know it can be done).
