I mean banning a Qwest IP address isn't going to do you much good as the user can simply get a new IP address.
If people are abusing comments, you know who the people are (as it would be insane to have comments not set to a minimum of registered users) and thus you can report the abuse to each appropriate service provider. Other than that, blocking these IP's is of very little value as by now, they are probably being used by different people. |
