backend.php not working on phpNuke v5.2
Fellow Nukers... I have a problem and have tried for a number of hours to fix this with no solution found as of yet.

For some reason I can not get the backend.php to work on any of the sites I have recently setup using phpNuke 5.2. I have never had a problem with any other releases. I have spent over 7 hours trying to find out what it could be and come up with nothing.

Is there anyone else that has this same problem and found out how to fix this? If you do please post solution. :-)

If you like you can see what I mean by trying to syndicate the news using the file backend.php here at NukeResouces.com . All previous releases of phpNuke 4.4, 5.0, 5.01, 5.2 all are working great using the backend.php. I am not alone here with this problem however it does seem extremely rare as I have only seen 3 other responses asking for help with this.

I took you backend file and I was able to process it correctly with Perl. I also validated the XML and it was well formed. Can you provide a little more information about what the problem is exactly? From the information you provided, I can't tell what the problem is.

There is one difference in Nuke 5.2's backend.php. Now, each text items put in the XML is put in the htmlspecialchars() function. This function replaces &, , and some other characters with characters that are excepted by XML.
