Security Advisory: PHP-Nuke Patched 2.2
Several changes have been applied to version 2.1 of the PHP-Nuke Patched series, i left the version number intact so that i could wait for feedback on them, since no bugs have been reported so far it is time to change the version number to 2.2, those that have downloaded version 2.1 in the past few days already have the new fixes and changes, the reason for changing the version to 2.2 is so that users that downloaded 2.1 when it first came out can update their files.

Thanks a bunch Chatserv. I really appreciate your move to revision numbers more often instead up just "updating packages" with hopes that people realize it and download them. It should make it much easier for people to keep things up-to-date in the future.

Thanx a Mil Chatserv for the valuable code.

But I'd like to suggest that the line 68 in the mainfile.php which includes the sql_layer.php file which NOT needed any more should be commented out .. once and for good :)

Unless U still want double DB connection ! ( $db and $dbi )

Thanks alot.

hi chatserv,

thx for all your work - but meanwhile i'm loosing control in fact of all those patches

wouldn't it be more wisely, to put one stable version up, and then provide DIFF files for those of us who already mangled around with the code?

i just created a test sytem here, and installed your "PHP-Nuke-7.0.zip" and fixed it copying over "70patched2_2.zip". this worked out alright sofar (yuk!), but as soon as i start doing changes, and you or anyone else is finding out holes in the code.. ah well... i dislike to simply copy over - ya know.

so whaddaya think? IMHO we should keep a stable version, including modifications, so going for a DIFF is the only way.

regards from a german bummer
