Journal § ZX was modified to allow site members the opportunity to maintain their own on-line journal system. The requirements to make this module a success are PHPNuke 5.5 integrated with a special phpbb2 port. Without this marriage of online portal and community forum software, this journaling module will not work. Through the inspiration of other journal systems, Journal § ZX was constructed with ease of use in mind while maintaining proper security precautions. Journal § ZX works with the integrated phpbb2 port in the PHPNuke Portal System 5.5. As an integrated extension, Journal § ZX falls back upon the membership records inherit in the PHPNuke/phpbb2 portal system. As such, many additional features have been built into Journal § ZX. Direct links to user profiles and private messaging.
Multi-Level Access: Casual Anonymous site visitors, and actual site members have different privileges.
Anonymous Surfers have the privilege to browse site member journals. But that's it! They are also encouraged to become a member of the hosting site through several hyper-links, although registration is not required.
Site Members have the rights to not only browse the journal system, but to also leave comments, and add entries of their own. In fact, the first time a registered site member creates a post, they are entered into a list of journal owners and become searchable.
