i patched my 7.3 nuke with 7.3 sec fix and i cant access all admin functions
all the pages i try to access will give error like 'access denied' -- error from links on admin pages for administrative functions
'you cant access this file directly' -- error from links on index.php
1. whats happening here? and i try to find the topic on this forum and it seems no one here is having that problem? did i do something wrong? i have followed all the instructions on fixlist and fixchanges file (included in 7.3 sec fix) and noticed that all the changes have been done.
2. i also tried to download 2.5 patch for nuke 7.3 from this site, however i always end up with 'invalid file or corrupted files' when i try to unzip them. is there anything wrong with the download or there is something i should do or know before downloading the file? btw i have tried several times, rename it, clean my internet temp fine but none of them works.
i appreciate any help bcoz im really confused (im totally newb to this)
just found out that apache installed in my computer doesnt support GD extension, i think thats why i get access denied message on every links i clicked
sorry for posting silly question
thx anyway
nb: how to install GD extension on my apache server? ( i know i can find it on the net) but if u are not busy enough, lol, maybe some quick help can do
Apache has to be rebuilt with the GD module installed. You will need to contact your server administrator, or if that is you and you have WHM (cPanel) you can do this by updating Apache from the Software menu and checking the GD box - be sure to click on the Load Previous Config box before you do anything. If you don't have WHM then you will need to consult the documentation for your server administration panel.
holbrookau:i dont really understand about apache configuration, i have tried to look around in the apache conf folder for option to turn GD extension on but couldnt find it. I am using apache installed in PHPTriad and have no clue at all about apache lol. thanks anyway for the help, it maybe useful in near future
dove: i used the same configuration on my website, and it works (and yes i didnt change the database type value), therefore i suspect it has something to do with GD extension as sentinel requires it to be turned on to access pages. however on my local machine, i couldnt get security code image to be displayed and therefore all the pages cant be accessed
i am not sure if i am correct about this, everyone can correct me if im wrong so i dont give wrong solution to other people who is having the same problem
