fresh site and most willing to reinstall but want to get secure before I start making it pretty (safety first) took stock 7.8 and it comes with phpbb 2.0.7
so I googled and read and found bbtonuke 2.0.7a 2.0.8 2.0.9
now none had a readme or any text files and the file structure looked like i unpack from the phpnuke root so I did did http://myurl.com/updatedb.php and guessed it updated but i did them in order but the bottom info in the admin forum module is still 2.0.7 adn now the forum admin panel is blank ummm
I have no problems clean isntalling phpnuke again and have backups
but how do I update phpbb to its max for security?
also second question I set the graphical login to level 6 in the config.php but still no graphics showing for new users NOR admins?

on the graphically, verified GD libaries are there, fedora core 4 fresh install, anyone notice this issue is it flavour specific or something i am missing or could check? thanks
have updated the box and its updated same issue verified the same PHP setup (backed it up and installed it under my windows box under XAMPP and the graphical check for new user and admin works perfect. which i find odd. anyone know where I could look maybe need a symlink in php or such just any help appreciated
