I have several PHP websites and I use PHPMyAdmin to administer the databases for each one. However I'm concerned about the security of this as anyone who finds it can get into my databases.
I need to secure it so that no one apart from me can get in. I know this is straightforward enough but for some reason I seem to have been unable to do it. I have read about HTTP and Cookie modes and I don't really mind which I use, although I've heard cookie mode is buggy.
I just need to set it so that when I user navigates to the PHPMyAdmin folder they are presented with a login instead of given free access to it. I have been through the config.inc file and adjusted several settings but I clearly haven't done it right. Can someone tell me what I have to set to keep unauthorised users out?
Thanks but this is my problem. I don't know how to do this! I put the details in controluser, controlpass. What else do I need. It doesn't seem to work this way!
