I have designated some fields as Required/Compulsory in the Registration form for my Nuke 7.6 site. I am using the installed additional module, Approve Membership.
However, I notice that a number of new users have registered on my site but were able to do so without filling in these fields.
How is this possible?
I suspect my site's security may have been compromised. If so, how can I secure it and prevent such registrations in the future?
By the way, some of these new registrants were using yahoo.com.fr email domains and one of them sent an email to me (and possibly other site members) one of those Nigerian email scam letters. I suspect they registered to harvest email addresses of my site members. Are they able to do this, and if so, how?

Sounds like something with Approve Membership, you should ask the creator about that module
If users have access to the Members_List and those emails are displayed (by not turning on the email through board function), they can be harvested that way. Also emails will be displayed for the forum posts.
