I have been made aware of a problem on a personal site of mine.
Whenever a user registers, they fill there info out and push the "new user" button to submit there information,
then on the next page it displays this:
Registration Error!
ERROR: Invalid Nickname
i dont know what i have pressed in the admin panel on nuke 7.8
What I did is this... you can edit the index.php file located in the Your_Account module and at approx line 33 is the characters that can be allowed in your username. I am running 7.8 patched 3.2 (evaders) I added into the allowed characters these special characters = { } now when users register they still have to use a normal nick but I can now go into the database for the users and change there nick to include those special characters... What I am looking for is what file I would need to edit to allow them to automatically be able to use those characters when they first register. As I also get the invalid nick if users attempt to use those characters... I am the web admin of an Americas Army clan called Sadistic Death website is www.sadisticdeath.net and our Clan tag is ={SD}= so you can see why I wanted those characters allowed in our usernames.
