Do I just need to replace the files from the 3.2 patch into my 7.8 install? I tried upgrading to the 3.2 patch once before with errors on every page. I just want to make sure that I'm only to replace these files before I make another attempt.

thank you.

I have nuke 7.8 and mysql 5.

Yes, replace the 3.2 files on top of your current ones. You will need to redo any modifications to those files.

If you post the errors you have installing it, and we'll try and help

Welp, I've uploaded everything and now I get the dreaded blank page. Guess I'll get searching for a solution...

Chicky, you need to add your DB info to the config file. Wink

Ok, every page is now blank. I've enable error reporting and still get nothing, just blanks. I saw another thread mentioning turning off gzip compression in the mainfile.php. This didn't do anything either. I'm sifting through a couple hundred posts about this very topic but have been unable to come up with a definite resolution. If anyone has any ideas please let me know.

thanks

ok this is a bit difficult but no biggie..

chicky post ur config.php without the username and password.
and then goto ur cpanel
sql databases
then make a username and password.
do not post the username and password
then right above where u make ur username and password ull see 2 drop down boxes...1 listing the users
and the other listing the databases.
u want to now set ur username u made to the database
and after verifying that the config.php is correct..add the new username and pass to ur config.php
ok now as for jeffro
plz post the site link and pm me on yahoo
this is a not a specific enough problem to walk u through without seeing the files itself and verify that it is all correct.
now i shouldnt need access to nething that u would risk but like i said i need to verify a lot of things first...too many for a forum post

Good question. I just upgraded with the 7.8 patched 3.2 version. And also, couldn't figure out which files I need to change according to the readme.txt. I am using the subblack3dblue theme, which I guess is the source of the problem
Any assistance would be greatly appreciated.
