phpnuke 7.8 site being redirected after patch 3.1

Hi,

I had a local copy of my site that I was using for development work/testing so I don't affect the live site. I am using phpnuke 7.8, and my url is http://localhost/sandbox/nuke78 with sandbox being an alias added in my apache conf. Everything was working fine, until I applied the 3.1 patch. Now, if I try to go to http://localhost/sandbox/nuke78 or even http://localhost/sandbox/nuke78/index.php it redirects to http://localhost/sandbox/ and of course gives a 404 error since that is the wrong url for nuke.

Can someone tell me what changed in the 3.1 patch that would do this? How do I fix this?

I even tried making another apache alias directly to the nuke root folder, but that doesn't work either.

Everything worked before the 3.1 patch, and the only thing that changed on the server was the application of the 3.1 patch.

Thanks for your help!

-Bill

Update: I moved the nuke to the server document root. Now, going to http://localhost *should* load the nuke install. Now in forefox I get the following error:

Quote:
The page isn't redirecting properly

Firefox has detected that the server is redirecting the request for this address in a way that will never complete.

* This problem can sometimes be caused by disabling or refusing to accept cookies.

I made sure there is nothing in Firefox's settings that would block accepting cookies from localhost, still I get this error.

Trying to open the site in IE causes an infinite redirect loop.

Any thoughts?

Thanks!

I am having the same problem. Has anyone come up with any ideas regarding this. I do know everything was working fine until I added the Approve Membership mod. I am using PHP-Nuke 7.8 but am unsure if I have the patch installed. I did use the mainpage.php file from the patch to make the approve membership mod work as it wouldn't without it. Any ideas would be great.

Update: Ok so I went ahead and just installed the newest patch from this site. It seems that was the problem. Everything seems to be running good now.
