Sorry, it just turned midnight here (and therefore 2007) and I'm still searching high and low in the forum but can't find anything on the problems I'm having with the ablve updates. Apologies if I seem backward and still using 7.3 but am a noob and so decide to just keep 7.3.
Anyway, config set as per my previous config, upload everything and then find that a few modules stopped working eg. coppermine, which I don't mind. Disabled it now but still having the following problems:-
- Modules that re-displays links to my articles/news can't complete the re-direct when the link is clicked. Module name is Zulnews, found here :- http://zulkiplyharun.com/
- Blocks that also produces links to article/news won't resolve to the page with the links. Block example : Random Headlines.
- PMs stopped working and also whenever you try to post in the Forums, you get a sql syntax error message.
Lastly, after going to Admin and confirming that the site's domain setting and url are done, I uncommented the three lines as instructed in admin.php but after that it always goes to "Access denied".
Sounds like these modules are old, haven't been updated to the Patched files.
What you'll want to do is start by turning error reporting on. That will give you the error messages to help diagnose the problem.
Did you run the upgrade script? That would help with forums errors.
Hi Evaders, thanks for replying.
Apart from the Zulnews one, I'm sure I uploaded all the blocks and modules from the pacthed series (well, like I said, I skipped to go from 3.0 straight to 3.3). I'll check the dates and re-upload everything.
The guy who wrote Zulnews says it works on his site but he's running his own nuke 8 with 32 I think.
The forums started working when I followed one of the threads here about bbsession errors.
I'm pretty sure I ran the upgrade script too but I'll go double check everything again.
