I'm not sure why, but I am unable to post any URLs in my news posts.

Everytime I do, it functions correctly when you preview it. But once the article is submitted.
<a href="http://www.fileplanet.com>LINK</a> becomes
<a>LINK</a>

The same exact think happens when trying to change the site's Footer.

LINK for adding links works within the forums, but no where else. Though this is expected as its part of phpBB's code and not phpnuke.


Anyone had this problem and can point me in the right direction.?

found the answer

look for the line

   $str = eregi_replace("<a>]*href[[:space:]]*=[[:space:]]*\"?[[:space:]]*([^\" >]*)[[:space:]]*\"?[^>]*>",'<a>', $str);



In your mainfile.php
Then put two slashes in front of it and try it

Thanks, that did the trick!

Now, does that open me up to any security concerns that you know of?

looks like that was added in to stop URLS from being posted.

I am guess it was a security messure for something. But I haven't had a problem with it yet.
