Can someone explain to me step by step on how to backup and restore my php nuke database? I am not skilled in using this program at all and it really makes no sense to me.

Thanks in advance..

hello, if you just want to backup your nuke's database, in admin panel theres an option called backup, simply click on that and you should be able to download a backup, if you like to do this with phpmyadmin, simply login to your phpmyadmin, select the database that was made for your nuke with the drop down box on your left, once selected you should see couple tabs on your top right, select export. from there you should see a bunch of tables in a box, simply drag the mouse down till all the tables are selected. with the option structure and data checked and save as ziped or gziped ( your choice) selected at the bottom , then press go. thats it.

my backup feature does not work. I get and internal server error 500 whenever I try to do a backup from the admin panel. My host cannot even give me an answer why yet either. That's why I have to use phpmyadmin. I'll give it a try

Ok I tried a backup with phpmyadmin and I get the following error message:

Warning: Cannot modify header information - headers already sent by (output started at /homepages/33/d92854314/htdocs/myfiles/phpMyAdmin/config.inc.php:761) in /homepages/33/d92854314/htdocs/myfiles/phpMyAdmin/export.php on line 190

Any ideas???? Sad

It has never worked for me. They are retarded and every email I send they can't seem to understand that only they can edit the php file on their server and I can't... They are running php version 4.3.6

What can I do I need to backup my database or if their server crashes I lose everything!!!

i see, well, most likely it has to do with .htacess , check your error.log on your server to see what the error is. your host should be responsible for at least fixing your phpmyadmin, if you dont even have access to edit your php files then there isnt much that you can do.
