Have been checking this thread and also trawling the Internet for help on this problem, still no answer. It seems odd that it has effected both the 3v1 and 3v2 patch. I would have updated to 3v2 if it was working, but it looks as if I would just give myself more grief. This problem has meant that I can't produce any external links from the home page, but the links on the content pages seem to work fine.

No, I believe I gave you access to the 3.2 download. It is designed to overwrite chatserv's 3.2 Patched

It is used on my sites.. none of the testers have found any big issues. I'd say they are ready for live sites.

Ok evaders what did I do wrong.. I have installed and ran the upgrade script for the new patched 3.2 you provided me and I still can't post any links on my website.. I am trying to add them to the messages area, I have tried both with the advanced editor enabled and disabled.. the actual link does stay in the message area this time (unlike before the update where it completely removed it) but nothing shows after I save the changes. The image does show when I first insert the link but after I save it, it disappears yet the links are still there. Any ideas???

Mmm is the IMG tag allowed in config.php?

What are you trying to post exactly? I can see if I can duplicate it

any links i post on my patched 7.8.3.2 site links back to my domain name.
how do u fix this ?

url posting was working fine in the non-patch 7.8version, u think something like this should have been checked before releasing a patch that doesn't work right ???

It doesn't matter what I try and enter.... when I first installed PHP-Nuke 7.8 I could add in the admin/preferences footer section a link to my clans affliate banner for clanservers.com (now gameservers.com) after doing the updates I can no longer show that banner. Also if I try and add any links to News articles or anywhere for that matter (unless I actually create a block or module for it) it adds my homepage url to the beginning of the link. I also noticed that if use the ' in a word example America's Army or you'll it adds slashes like this America\'s so for any articles that I try and post on my site I have to go thru the entire article first and edit all those out. Any ideas on what needs to be fixed to get these issues sorted out.

The reason i ask is if im not mistakin the editor has a built in html code stripper desined to toss anything that it doesnt like.

let me know.

and for future reference...spologies all around for the delay...i work and answer other forums and code...same as all others on this forum who answer questions...believe me when i say..ill do everything i can to help u out but patience is a virtue.
