Hey dudes, spec first then the babble.

existing phpBB v2.0.21 forum plus membership
just installed php7.6 with v3.0 security patches applied.
One dumb ass new to this but not new to phpBB2

Guys please a few pointers, I have spent a few hours today looking for some of what must have been the easiest of questions unable to find the answers in this rats maze of an excellent web site. Please do not get me wrong for a second, this is obviously an excellent site for everything phpNuke but to a new comer shiiisshhhh.,,

I have a forum, set-up and runnning with an existing membership (small but getting there) I have wanted to get going with a CMS and decided this is the one to plumb for but I'm getting lost on the site with all the help files and versions and could do with some pointers so I do not spend an hour reading the wrong stuff or installing the wrong stuff.

I have the latest phpBB v2.0.21 with tonns of security script patching and if I say so myself I aint done a bad job but I would like to incorporate this into a fresh phpNuke install (version above). If I cannot do this and need to start with a fresh install then so be it but I cannot find for the life of me where the correct help files are for the installation I have.

I have located some files which I think are correct called BBtoNuke and appear to be an install script for incorporating the SQL database and files, but these do not come with instructions on how to or which version to use. I have searched endlessly and all I can come up with are instruction on how to use phpBB which of cause I already know.

This is all before I even start with security and the Sentenal scripts and deny.access files side of the installation.

can someone either explain the relationships of the various version numbers regarding phpNuke, phpBB, patch files, BBtoNuke. Or alternatively say right ho Scabby this is what you need from here and read this here.

I know I have waffled a bit but I wanted to get this correct as this is my third post asking for help. Also I have put it into here for fear of not knowing which is the correct place,

thanks in advance even if all you have done is managed to get to the end of this verbal crap,

Scabby

I guess for starters you could probably head over to Evaders site and get his phpbb2phpnuke script file.

****Be sure to back up your databases before making any changes****

That should get you heading in the right direction. If you have any more questions, be sure to come back and I'll see if I can't help you out.

Can you please try it again as I have been on it almost all day?

If it's still not working, let me know and I will upload that script to my site!

My guess is your on a European ISP?
Sorry my server has been having glitches with some ISPs. Have not found a solution.

The script itself is free to distribute, you can try through TRUFR34K or others in the Nuke community that have mirrored it
