Hello, posting here in the hopes that someone can help me update the forums on my website.

A while back I downloaded PHPnuke 8.0 to use on my website. It came with what is called phpBB port 2.0.7 - when I look at the administration page for the forums it says:
Quote:

Powered by phpBB 2.0.20 © 2001-2003 phpBB Group
phpBB port v2.0.7 based on Tom Nitzschner's phpbb port 2.0.6 upgraded to phpBB 2.0.7 standalone.
Ported and tested by:
Nuke Cops

BBtoNuke 2.0.7 by Nuke Cops © 2004http://www.nukecops.com

I have noticed minor issues over the months my site has been active (for example, quotes don't work on my forums) and I haven't tried to upgrade anything because I was hoping that another updated version of PHPnuke would come out. However it has been a while now so I figure I'll just do it myself.

I did some looking around and I found there is a phpBB 2.0.23 - which is newer than what the version number on my admin page says. BUT it doesn't say anything about a port like when I look at my actual forums, where it says:
Quote:

Powered by phpBB © 2001-2003 phpBB Group
phpBB port v2.0.7 based on Tom Nitzschner's phpbb2.0.6 upgraded to phpBB 2.0.7 standalone was developed and tested by:
ChatServ, mikem, and Paul Laudanski (aka Zhen-Xjell).

Version 2.0.7 by Nuke Cops © 2004 http://www.nukecops.com

So my question is, do I take the files from the phpBB 2.0.23.zip that I downloaded and replace the files inside the "..Modules/Forums/" folder for my PHPnuke 8.0 website setup? or is it more complex than that?

Many thanks for any help.

UPDATE: I did some more looking around and stumbled onto files called BBToNuke2021, BBToNuke2022, and BBToNuke2023

It is looking like I can use these to upgrade the forums as the people in the posts and whatnot make mention of Nuke users needing these files. Any verifiction? Thanks

Correct, phpNuke 8.0 includes BBToNuke 2.0.20.
So you should download and install
BBToNuke 2.0.21
BBToNuke 2.0.22
and BBToNuke 2.0.23

Hello again, I uploaded and ran the BBToNuke updates (one at a time) and each time they said success, but there were problems somewhere I think.

While they did fix problems that I had been having with the forums (for example, the quotes feature was fixed), there were new problems after uploading them. In particular, after I had finished performing all 3 updates, I was unable to create new posts.

I could hit the create new post button and type in my subject and message, but whenever I pressed submit, the page would just go blank. I would reenter the address and look at the forum, but the thread I tried to create would not be there.

I'm not sure which update this started occuring after, since I did minimal checking after each one (mostly I just looked to see if quoting worked, and after I saw that it did, figured everything was okay) - so I just reverted back to my old files for the time being so that posts could be created until I figure this out.

Did I do something wrong? or is there a new bug of some sort? Thanks for any help.
