I used my cpanel to upgrade my site from 7.2 to 7.3, the problem now it is not patched. I also purchased version 7.4 today, I assume it is also not patched? If so, then can you explain the simpliest way to do this process?

Before I tried 3 times all failed. I used SmartFTP, selected all files & folders in the HTML folder, uploaded them all at one time. After that I FTP the upgrade file, pointed my browser at it, and got an SQL error.

I was told that SmartFTP would not go deep enough in the folders and maybe this is why it blow up on me? If I am making any sense at all? You probably are getting tired of my questions. Laughing Once I manage this one time I will easily be able to do it on my own. Thanks if you can please advise me one more time.

How do I upgrade the nuke to the patch? Copy patched zip file to the 7.4 files? Confused Is the patched version of 7.4 released?

Unzip Nuke 7.4 on your pc, download Nuke Patched 2.5 for 7.4 (link on the front page) unzip it, cut or copy its contents and paste them over nuke 7.4's html folder, edit the config.php file and upload the contents of the html folder to the server so that they replace your current files (use filezilla or WS_FTP). Last upload the 73-74 upgrade file to the same place where mainfile.php & config.php are then point your browser to it, that's it.

Worked flawlessly with your excellent instructions, filezilla, and someone who knew what they were doing. Wink I shall toss out SmartFTP in favor of filezilla. Thanks again, now onto adding security. Anything off hand you recommend for me to use? Cool

I use NukeSentinel and of course Nuke Patched, some might not know this but Nuke Patched is not just a bug fix patch, it includes many security bits as well, there are other security systems out there like admin secure and protector but since i can only vouch for what i use i only suggest the first two but you can try any you wish.

Okay I did not know that.. Glad I managed to get the upgrade done correctly. I was considering using Protector along with NukeSentinel. Thanks.. NukeSentinel will be put in tomorrow. Wink

Now if I could figure out why no one can edit a poll they made. Odd it just does not show up. Confused

Sorry, should have been more clear. This is a forum poll issue I am having. Here is how it looks when I try to edit the poll http://neotechgaming.com/main/modules.php?name=Forums&file=posting&mode=editpost&p=1622 if it shows up for you. Maybe not I did try. Wink

The Nuke Poll since you mentioned it, allows people to vote over and over making it a pointless poll as most people will cheat when they can as you probably know. Wink

Btw, of you use Pay Pal for donations, do you happen to have another method you accept? I have not been able to complete any transactions through their service. Keeps telling me my session time has expired you must re-enter all your information. This happens over and over. Very Happy Thanks.
