I've had my Submit News module hacked twice within the past couple of weeks. I'm running phpNuke 6.0. The latest happened today. Here is what they put into my news:
"Algae you will forever be missed. I considered you a true friend, I know that you would want us to go on, I can't think. I'm sorry admin my troubles have no matter to you, but yours to mine. Fix your news script. InyYasha would not be pleased with you. {0ragami} on hub.corruptcode.org"
They were able to post this "news" without my approval. Is this a known problem with news? Can someone give me some pointers on how to secure my news module? I'd appreciate any help. Thanks!
Dunno if can make you better, but i got my News hacked too.....actually i changed the index.php of News module with a fixed one....
P.S. Is there any program or files to track those that mess our sites?
Places to look in are http referers and the server's access log, if you are using a pre-6.5 version of nuke there are other vulnerabilities besides that of the News module, it would be a good idea to upgrade.
