I'm having trouble figuring out how I would apply the new 3.0 patch to my current 7.6 site. Been searching everywhere for a walkthrough or a post on how to do it after I dl the files but I can't seem to find anything. Also, would the upgrade overite all the old date like the posts and members that are already on my site? Any help or links would be greatly appreciated. Thanks for everyones help and work.
easy way of patchin ure files for example
in your 3.0 patched files there is a folder /modules/forums/blabla.php
just change it with ure current blabla.php , just dont send all patch 3.0 forums folder to ure server .Look all files comes with pacthed files and change all of them 1 by 1 with ure current ones

Just overwrite your files with these Patched ones. And then run the upgrade script. It should not affect your old data, members, or posts. Easy as pie.
