When upgrading do not upload the themes folder, 6.5 themes work with 6.7 so there's no need to load them specially if you've made modifications to the one you're using. As for the comfirmation email, can you give more details about why it doesn't work? Have you checked the common mistakes forums at www.nukefixes.com ?

Ok, Ill try to explain whats happening and whats not happening.

When a new user comes to my site and clicks on create an account. It says that the admin will send them an e-mail upon acceptance. Me the admin goes in and approves the user but they never get an email confirmation.

What I want to happen is this: they register, I get e-mail notification that there is a user waiting, I approve or not approve, they get a e-mail saying you have been accepted.

I have tried everything I can think of as a newbie but I am at a total loss.

If you want, you can register at my site but until I actually go into edit user, I have no idea that you have tried to register. When I approve you, you then have no idea that I have approved you. See what I mean? This isnt right and I dont know what to do to fix this issue.

Please advise,

AD aka phpnewbie!! Rolling Eyes

Got it, ok so if someone sends you feedback does it reach you?, if you send a newsletter do users get it? In other words, is email working at all?, if it is then you have two choices, one would be to point all registration links to the forums (instructions at www.nukefixes.com ) or you could try using nukescript's Your Account tweak, although i imagine you are already using some kind of tweak as by default Nuke sends new users an activation link when they register through the Your Account module, when they click on it they get access so what are you using for registrations?

I just tried to use Feedback and it said "Mail has been sent. Thank you!"

But I never got it.... so I guess the answer to is the mail working at all, would be NO.

Now what?

I wouldnt mind PM-ing you and give you access to check it out for me if thats what it takes....

Im just too new to understand all the lingo yet....I'm trying : ))

Thanks

When a new person registers, I have to manually go in and approve them. When I go into edit users (thru admin) I have no clue at that point if I will see someone has registered or not until I get there. If there is a new registered user then I approve them. At this point they have no clue they have been approved until they try it I guess because they dont get a confirmation e-mail telling them they have been approved.

Wasnt sure if I understood what you were saying in your last post. Just thought I would clarify what I know.....

Thanks for the help

I tried to set it up for "Allow user registration" I have "yes" selected.

I then created a bogus name and used another e-mail address I have and got this when I click on the link it supplied me...

http://www.rsrl.us//modules.php?name=Your_Account&op=activate&username=AD_1234&check_num=1db100dfa8de4be013ac6f6c71b26af8

So the mail thing isnt working PERIOD! I have no idea what to do...

Please help,

For one thing go to Nuke's admin section, click on preferences and change nukeurl http://www.rsrl.us/ to http://www.rsrl.us

Contact your webhost provider about the mail problem, leave the nukeurl without the slash, notice that on the sample url you posted:

http://www.rsrl.us//modules.php?name=Your_Account&op=activate&username=AD_1234&check_num=1db100dfa8de4be013ac6f6c71b26af8

The double slashes are caused by having entered one in the nukeurl.

Funny how my web provider blames Nuke 6.5 and says its a bug that was never fixed and you all blame my host provider's mail....Noone has an answer...

Would be nice if someone would atleast take the time to go in and check all my settings I have to see if it's something I have done. I guess you have bigger fish to fry.

Sincerely frustrated,
