I have a forum running nuke 7.8 It has just been brought to my attention that all registered users have admin rights (edit, del, lock etc) The options in the forum control panel are set correctly. read only, no posting etc.

The members affected are part of a group and the group persmissions have been checked.

Any help in finding whats wrong would be most gratefully received!

URL via PM (Due to nature of problem!)

Thanks

Did you ever find a solution? I just noticed that even a guest has admin rights. I would appreciate your help.

Guests having admin rights? Really bizarre. Are you using the latest Patched files from the front page ?

I have installed 7.8 and patch 3.1. I have also installed a security fix for 7.8. Any clues? Could it have to do with the file permissions? I am pretty new to php and nuke, so may need more coaching.

Thanks for your help.

More information:

I logged out from my admin account and am sitting at the Login or Register part of the page.

Also, I noticed at that point, I can run XXX.com/admin.php and thats when I can get to all admin functions, with the Login or Register still visible(guest on who's online). Hope that make sense

The admin system is entirely seperate from the user system. You must be logged into the Your_Account users for it to show on the Who's Online
