This is one of the strangest problems I've ever encountered using phpNuke... I have a fresh install of phpNuke v7.9 patched 3.2 and have tried using different themes but still encountering the same issue...
Users are able to post somewhat lengthy messages in the forums, but then they are allowed less & less posting lengths in subsequent messages. I verified this as the case with my admin/God account - I posted a very lengthy message and when I clicked the submit button, I was diverted back to the main page and the message never submitted - I tried a shorter post, and all was well - I then copied and pasted the same post that was successfully submitted and tried replying to my last and I was not allowed - I shortened the new message and was successful - Thus, each message I submitted had to be shorter and shorter until eventually I was not allowed to post any more messages for up to 24 hours it seems.
I checked the database to show no errors and I am not using Sentinal and as far as I know, I have no flood control set... Can someone help please?
Thanks,
Phil

I have no idea off the top. How are you using Patched 3.2... it isn't even out yet?
HAHA - woops - I meant the latest version of 3.1 - must've been wishing HARD there!
I know that for the developers and contributors of phpNuke and all of its modules, add-ons, blocks, etc ... this will *beep* some folk off, but do you think there will EVER be stable version of Nuke at its CORE (bare essence)? I mean, is there going to be a 100% working version (and secure) even before contribs or accessories are made for that particular release? I know that dev teams are quick to release because of anticipations on behalf of their users, but c'mon! I just want a fully working php website! I'd pay decent money to the developers if they could promise that out of box, EVERYTHING would work.
HEHE - not meaning to offend those who might be clenching their teeth now!
If you're expecting a stable version from FB, it'll probably never happen.
There are some distributions people have with the Patched files.. that's fairly stable - my own is updated daily. If you are looking for a good core set with Sentinel, I recommend RavenNuke from http://ravenphpscripts.com
A lot of development will be going into there to make it quite good
I've really not seen this issue, but I don't recommend 7.9. It is just more trash from FB, a lot of untested buggy code.
