I´m researching both products for a client. Has any one here used both, and can you shed some light as to which is better, more supported, going to last longer etc.

Thanks much

As for lasting longer i don´t see any reason why any of both portals should dissapear in the near future, both have a very big user count, as for one being better than the other, naturally users of both will claim theirs is better, PostNuke is a fork of PHP-Nuke as are some other portals out there, but most of them have changed their structure in an attempt to become a separate entity, this as with anything in life is a matter of personal taste, you may like one more than the other, you could like both just as much or you could not like either. Some other points i have found in the time i have been around:
Both programs seem to have adequate support although PHP-Nuke seems to have more than its counterpart as many Nuke fans run their own support/addons/tutorial sites.
Modifying PostNuke´s code to have it behave exactly like you´d want or to add/modify features can be an uphill experience even for users with an average skill level in php coding, even worse for newbies, a complete newbie will find this task equally difficult on both as a basic knowledge of html, php and MySQL is required for this, not much knowledge is required for using them as they come though, good luck on your research.
